Logistics for VTK-m Code Sprint 2017

Hank recommends Eugene Airport (EUG) provided you can get to Eugene with two flightsor less . In this case, you should not need a rental car, and can taxi from the airport to your hotel and then walk. Note that there is no Uber or Lyft in Eugene. If you prefer to fly to Portland Airport (PDX), then it is approximately a two hour drive south to Eugene (assuming no traffic in Portland). Even in this case, it is likely easiest to park the rental car at your hotel and walk between campus and hotel each day.

The meeting location will be on the University of Oregon campus, specifically Deschutes Hall, Room 220.

There is no official hotel for the VTK-m code sprint.
That said, our Department often uses two hotels when we have guests:

• The Excelsior: this is a smaller hotel, with only about 8 rooms total. First come, first serve!
• Phoenix Inn Suites: we use this hotel regularly, as the Excelsior is often full.
