    Base plate
    A place to mount heavy feet to provide counterbalance 
    while offering a way to set the Sudiball down on a flat surface 
    without the edges of the runners hitting the ground.

    The six holes are clearance for the protruding fasteners
    holding the mirror cell in the tube.
    There are only three protrusions but this way 
    it wont matter which way we twist the tube
    when getting it in or out.
