    The process does work!
    Scale model with start of base ring on far back bench,
    router& compass jig with full base on 
    makeshift pallet-garbage-can work surface (easier to get around it)
    trammel or beam  compass, 
    metal dowels used in the holes 
    to align all the pieces while glue (barely) sets
    abrasive pad used to scrub edge char.
    doing too many things at once to worry about 
    the glue drips and finger print, sorry.
