Hi Sameer,

Thanks once again for sending me your SOP and resume!
I am mighty relieved that i won't have to declare my
area of interest right away. But, this will create a problem
while framing my SOP, won't it? What do I tell them in it?
Should i be truthful and tell them that i haven't made up
my mind as yet regarding my area of specialization....
Also, you had asked me whether i am interested in doing a
Ph.D rather than just an M.S. To tell you frankly, the thought
spending 5-7 yrs doing a Ph.D doesn't appeal to me at all!!!
But, i have heard many people say that you should say you want
to do a Ph.D (when u apply), but you can always change ur mind
later. Is this this true ?

NCST does give a certificate for the CCST course but it doesn't give
transcripts for it. For the PGDST, i can take partial transcripts for
the modules i have taken so far, which is only DBMS. The Graphics
module will get over on 26th jan , so i can take transcripts for these 2 modules,
but i'll get them some time in feb only.

By the way, is NCST well known out there... i mean am i at any kind of
advantage being from this institute ?

when did you go to the U.S ? Was it last year or this year?
