What is this?

This is documentation of a personal century ride for the UMCA Year-Rounder Challenge. The basic idea is to make at least one 100-mile ride in each month of 2007. It gets me out when it might otherwise be too easy to say “too bad the weather wasn't better this month.”

Route Overview

Eugene to Tenmile via Lorane, Drain, Yoncalla, Oakland, Sutherlin, Wilbur, Lookingglass. A cold morning — various reports said it was anywhere from 23 to 29 degrees starting out, and for the first time I had the experience of water bottles freezing up. Weather was warming by Drain, but a little north of Rice Hill (around the 50 mile point) I hit fog again and was in cold fog the rest of the ride. My outfit was just warm enough to not be miserable. I probably should have switched from beanie back to balaclava to keep my ears warmer.
