CIS Programming Contest

The second annual CIS programming competition is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 8:00am - 12:30pm. Register your team by April 14.


Participation is by 3-person teams who are expected to produce working programs for proposed problems. There will be graduate andundergraduate divisions. The general nature of the problems will follow the format of the ACM Competition (see, e.g., http://acm.baylor.edu/acmicpc/Info/Default.htm. They emphasize both programming and problem-solving ability. For our local contest, the environment will provide Java, C, and C++.


CIS 422 students have a good record of participation in the local programming competition. Have some fun, get some practice working as a team under deadline pressure, and show off your talent.

Prize

The winning-team members in each division will each receive a gift certificate at the UO Bookstore.

Deadline

Deadline for registering your team is April 14. Send e-mail with names of team members to luks@cs.
