Kathleen Freeman Hennessy received a B.S. degree in Mathematics with Honors from Bucknell University in 1982 and her Ph.D. in Computer Science in 1993 from the University of Oregon. Her research investigated computational models of argumentation. She has taught a variety of undergraduate classes in the Computer Science Department at UO, including upper and lower division and introductory computer science courses, as well as a teaching effectiveness seminar for graduate students. Prior to coming to Oregon, Kathleen worked in the computer industry as a programmer/analyst at Shared Medical Systems in Malvern, PA. She is currently interested in computer science undergraduate education.
