Personal

I love writing code and learning new technologies. I am an independent learner and a creative problem-solver.

I have demonstrated my programming ability as an undergraduate in several programming competitions, most notably when in 1995-6 my teammate and I finished first in the Mid-Central contest and competed internationally in the final round of the Microsoft-sponsored ACM programming competition.

Am interested in machine learning, and have studied and love working on projects involving neural networks and evolutionary algorithms. Have a particularly keen interest in the physical sciences and applied mathematics.
