• In a network with a maximum segment lifetime of 30 sec. and a 12-bit segment sequence number, what is the maximum data rate per connection?

• Suppose that the clock-driven scheme for generating initial sequence numbers is used with a 15-bit clock counter. The clock ticks every 100 msec., and the maximum segment lifetime is 60 sec. How often need resynchronization (a new SYN signal) take place
  • in the worst case?
  • when the data consumes 240 sequence numbers per minute?
