    At OSP!  still shocked I actually did it.
    My nap got longer  
    After loading the car had no energy 
    to drive four hours and setup camp, 
    so we went a day later.

    The legs for the base are black iron pipe in iron flanges; 
    unattractive but quick, available and highly functional.
    You can customize the height using different length pipes.
    Used "plumbers tape" or "pipe hanging strap" and  
    quarter-twenty nuts, bolts & washers to triangulate the legs.
  
    The plumber tape is lightly tension-ed with 
    bolts through the base ring between the legs.
    The resulting stand is very stiff.
